Bachelor of Arts with a Double Major (BA)
The BA with a Double Major degree allows students to combine two majors into one degree to provide depth in two areas of study rather than just one. Students may choose combinations of the disciplines listed below. The Communication and Spanish combination is listed separately because of the specialized nature of some of the course requirements.
Hours Required
120 semester credit hours (SCH): 45 hours must be advanced, with fulfillment of degree requirements as specified in the "Requirements for Graduation" section of this catalog and the General Requirements for Undergraduate degrees at the beginning of this section.

Students selecting a combination of majors, Communication and Spanish, or History and Political Science, must follow the specific degree plan including the stated major combination, Bachelor of Arts with majors in Communication and Spanish or Bachelor of Arts with majors in History and Political Science.
Foreign Language/Study Abroad: For Spanish courses, a Spanish placement exam must be taken before course enrollment to identify competency level.

Students are encouraged to see their advisor each semester for help with program decisions and enrollment; responsible for reviewing the Program of Study Requirements; and must meet foreign language and writing intensive course requirements for graduation.
