Admission to Medical Lab Science: Admission into the university follows all university guidelines and processes. Students will be admitted into the pre-Medical Laboratory Science program and will be fully admitted into the  program in their junior year. 

Criteria to be considered for admission into the MLSC program include:

1. Students must be fully admitted by TAMIU and must be declared a MLSC major
2. Completed all (or have no less than 3 SCH remaining) University Core Curriculum
3. Completed all MLSC foundational coursework requirements
4. Have a minimum cumulative 2.75 GPA (on a 0.0 - 4.0 scale)
5. Have a minimum combined science and math 2.75 GPA (on a 0.0 - 4.0 scale).

Following is a suggested four-year degree plan. Students are encouraged to see their advisor each semester for help with program decisions and enrollment; responsible for reviewing the Program of Study Requirements, meeting all course prerequisites, and writing intensive course (WIN) requirements for graduation.
