Co-requisite Dev. Reading & Writing (CIRW)

CIRW 0330 Co-req Int Read&Write

This course focuses on sentence level structure, effective sentence combining, and cohesive paragraph structure that builds toward a coherent piece of writing of some length. In addition to grammar mechanics, and language usage, this course integrates critical reading and academic writing skills, providing the necessary support for advanced developmental students who are taking English 1301 or History 1301 as the co-requisite with seminar CIRW 0330. Students who register for CIRW 0330 must co-register in a designated ENGL 1301 or HIST 1301 section, neither of which can be dropped independently of the other. Students completing course successfully will earn University credit but not credit toward graduation.

Prerequisites: TSI placement or recommendation of TSI academic advisor.
