Educational Diagnostics Professional Certificate


  1. Master's Degree.
  2. Three years of acceptable and successful teaching experience, with at least one year in special education.1
  3. Valid Texas Teacher Certificate.
  4. TExES - Educational Diagnostician (Code 153).

EDSE 5390 is required for students lacking at least one academic year of experience as a teacher in a special education classroom, or passing the state-mandated examinations for teaching certification in special education.
